Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Finley’s chapel for Mrs. Mary R. Lockhart (“Polly” Bybee), who died May 8 at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lillie Marchand, in St. Johns.  Interment will be in Lone Fir cemetery.  Mrs. Lockhart was born in Portland on January 8, 1852, the daughter of James F. and Julia A. Bybee, who came to Oregon in 1845 and settled on Sauvies island.  She lived for many years in Sellwood, where she was widely known.  She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Marchand and Mrs. Imogene Carraher of Seattle, three nieces, Misses Julia Bybee and Georgia Rich and Mrs. Julia Payne Lovejoy, and by two nephews, Will and Frank Payne.
